Journaling prompt: What are your favorite summer-associated foods?

For this, I'd have to go for barbecue, since there's not much summer-associated foods that I love, honestly. I specifically love horse burger the most. It tastes so well. For my region it's a bit unconventional as eating horses is not common here, but I adore it. When paired with fries and banana liqueur it's great.

Also haven't heard of horse burger before!! I had bison burger a few months ago and surprisingly enjoyed it, so I'm wondering if it's similar!

Ohhh, that's interesting! I've never had a bison burger before (though we don't have bisons here so I'm guessing it would be very expensive to get that meat) I wonder what it's like! I enjoyed horse meat a lot, though a lot of people I know felt a bit odd since we don't often view horses as an animal you would eat.

OH I BET DHJSHDJSHJK We don't get too many folks over here talking about eating horse, either xD

And I was skeptical before I had it b/c I was nervous it would be too gamey, but it actually wasn't bad at all!! It felt about as thick as beef, and slightly sweeter? (Though that just might've been the sauce they paired it with xD)

Horse meat is delicious. Not comon where I live either.

Not sure whether you're in one of the countries affected by the horsemeat scandal of 2013 (I'm in the UK) but honestly, I think a lot of people probably ate that at the time without even realising!

I'm not from an EU country so I'm not familiar with this. Though I was old enough to know what's happening in the world and I haven't even seen this mentioned at all, so definitely not something that happened here XD
